Pilotdrift is from Texarkana, Texas. Texarkana is located in the Piney Woods of East Texas and like it sounds, the state lines of Arkansas and Texas do indeed run directly through the middle of the city. If you do have a preconception as to what a band from Texarkana might sound like, you should probably throw that out the window. Pilotdrift is an exploratory unit moving through atmospheres, melodies, electronics, and orchestrations with surprising sonic precision. Pilotdrift truly exists in its own atmosphere and would be just at home on Saturn as it would be in Texarkana.
